This universal rear shock absorber fits both right and left side Audi A3 Convertible (8V7, 8VE) S3 quattro. The monotube shock absorber is filled with magnetic fluid, which is a synthetic hydrocarbon oil that contains iron particles that are easily magnetized. The shock absorber includes two electromagnetic coils that, when switched on, instantly change the bonds between the magnetized iron particles to change the viscosity and stiffness of the suspension.
